Troubleshooting Mac Bluetooth:

  • Verify Compatibility:

Is this is not an Apple brand, then look at the original packaging, seeing if it is comp able with your Mac and your MacOS.

Hi. None of the above.

After wasting a couple of hours trying to troubleshoot this problem using another computer, went to bed. This morning, managed to open the Bluetooth pane of System Preferences (with keyboard only!!!). The mouse was visible, with a "Connect" button; on which I could not press, not having a mouse...

A call to Apple Support was useless.

Finally solved the problem by using a Logitech mouse (with a dongle) with which I was able to press "Connect".

Thank you me for having a Windows laptop with a non-Apple mouse!!!
