I'm using the "remote disc" function from my laptop to add CD music onto my iMAC, when I attempt to drag my CD into my music on the iMAC I receive an error code -8060...how do I fix that?

With iTunes on the menu bar, select File > Add to Library, then see if you can select the CD and Import it into iTunes.
If that doesn't work, another option is to import the CD into iTunes on the laptop. Then copy it to a hard drive or flash drive and move it to iTunes on the iMac.
Remote disc is not designed to play or copy Audio CD, DVD Video or Blu-ray Video, instead it is used to install Mac OS and software updates and applications that are only available on data CD. Remote disc is outdated technology, now that software is downloaded using the internet.
