How often does iCloud auto back up.

So I have the iPhone SE 2020... so far it’s great. Had it for probably 6 months. I’m wondering how often iCloud does an auto backup of my device. I just chose backup now and it took more than 5 minutes. Seems like that’s a lot of data. But I really don’t know. It’s the first time I’ve ever clicked backup now. Also. I hope for my sake backup now doesn’t change my settings. Rather it should save everything not saved... Right?? I sure hope so.

Help please.

Thanks,

Ethan

Back up now means exactly that. When you choose the Back Up Now option then your iPhone backs up your iPhone on iCloud. The time it takes depends on the amount of new data to be backed up. 5 minutes is good however subsequent successful backups will be slightly shorter. This action does NOT change any settings. It actually backs up your settings in the event that you need to restore from that iCloud backup fie.

Your iPhone will backup to iCloud automatically once every 24 hours. It will overwrite the previous day's backup as well.
