90W charger for M1 MacBook Air

I have the 8 core gpu M1 MacBook Air which by default comes with 30W charger. I would like to ask if it is safe to use 90W charger with it. The charger is actually a thunderbolt dock (DELL WD19TB). According to this DELL page it should be okay for Apple. Is it really safe for the device? 90W vs 30W seems quite a big difference.

Charger ratings are about capabilities of what they can deliver,

i.e. they don't "pump" 90 watts into something if it doesn't need it.

If something only needs 30 watts, then that is all that is delivered.

Personally, I would be wary of any PC product that does not explicitly

state 100% Mac and macOS compatibility. Not just from the charging

you speak of but its actual functionality.
