AppleTV music - album load issue

Most of my purchased album won't load in the music app on my Apple TV 4K. The songs are there, because they show up and play fine when I just go to "Library > Songs", but when I go to "Library > Albums", I can't access most of my music.


The albums themselves do show up in the list, but when I select them, it just loads endlessly. So I'm stuck only being able to play my music from the massive "Songs" list with no organization by album.


What is the solution for this?

Another workaround is to create a Playlist from the album. Then you can see all the tracks in a list as if it were an album. But you’d have to do it for your entire library (groan!) or create these as you need them.


So there’s this Playlist idea and the previously suggested Play idea, both of which work. But it’s unsatisfactory in the long term, so APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM!

+1 on this. I’ve had a case open since 12/26/2020 for both my Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K. I went through a big testing scenario with the support person and submitted all my system & diagnostic files. I requested an update today and was told there are many more cases on the same issue and that Apple is working on the problem. Replacing the ATV will not fix if because it concerns tvOS 14.3. He wants to do additional testing today so we’ll see.


Steve just rolled over in his grave, once again....

Apple...please fix this identified and widely reported issue regarding Apple Music and 14.3. Many if us are now paying for a service we cannot adequately use...

You should be okay on your phone since it uses iOS 14.3, not the problematic tvOS 14.3. I have iOS 14.3 on my XR and it performs as expected. Also worthy of note, iPadOS 14.3 and MacOS 11.1 Big Sur work as expected.

This issue has been reported by many users on this forum and in the AppleTV forum. It’s very frustrating. I strongly suggest you call Apple to ensure they are getting enough feedback to make it a priority defect. I spent over an hour on the phone with them this week and still have an open ticket. There is a temporary workaround. You can push Play when the album is selected instead of trying to click into it. It should start playing and you can then press Menu to navigate the song list. Hopefully, Apple gets this resolved soon!!

The issue is the new update 14.3. I have had the exact same issue (that previously wasn’t an issue.) On the AppleTV 4K running 14.3...I cannot play all albums. On another AppleTV 4K I was running 14.2 with no issues. While I shouldn’t have updated it, I did to see if that was the issue...and yup...same albums will no longer play on the second AppleTV as well.

Apple...I hope you are monitoring this...cause update 14.3 has caused this issue to occur. I truly hope a fix is in the works as this is quite frustrating...
