my phone is not taking my unlock code and is locked out what can I do?
iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 14
Follow the instructions in this document --> If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled
I cant wipe the phone I need it. it has work files on it and I cant get them back if I do this. is there another way without resetting the phone to factory?

If it is disabled it is too late to recover anything from it. After following the instructions in the link you can restore your most recent backup. Surely, if you had critical work files on it you backed it up frequently.

It's too late. Anything that wasn't backed up is gone.
