You have a malformed email in your Junk Folder. This will be the mail that is selected by default. You will need to delete it. To do so, open Mail, click View > Use Column Layout and delete the selected email. Then click again on Use Column View to remove this view.

While I didn't see an option for "Column Layout"; this answer sent me down the correct path. I was able to open my Junk folder on a different device and delete the messages. With the offending message gone, Apple Mail can now open the Junk folder without crashing. Thanks!
