iOS 14 Mail notifications not working

I’ve had this problem since first day of getting the iPhone 11.

I don’t receive my Mail notifications the proper way. There is no sound and I even don’t see my notification banners from time to time. i have searched for all possible solutions and tried all of them - reinstalled the app, put all my notifications to ON and as well set up to show all banner types and data collection is set to PUSH. Still the only thing I can see is the red “new message” notification in the app’s corner only when I unlock the phone.

it is really frustrating since I use this app for work purposes. Right now I am compelled to use the Outlook app but would be happy to come back to Mail.

Please suggest a working solution.

Hi Karina.

Thank you on feedback. Unfortunately it did not help. The only solution that I found for sound and banner notifications to appear for Mail is to add the sender to VIP. Otherwise nothing works. All my notifications for my favorite mailbox are set, checked all the settings with the guide you’ve sent me. It only seems to work after setting up the VIP, which is quite strange.

Best regards,

Andrey
