OK, so the phone has been reported stolen to an insurance company. Did you purchase the phone new? If not you either bought a stolen phone, or the seller reported the phone as stolen after selling it to you to collection on the insurance. I didn't forget my passcode. It erased on its own. I get an error message that says "there is a problem with this phone." I have followed the previous mentioned steps but it wont give me the option to "restore". It just keeps providing me the same error mentioned above.

it takes me through the set up process but I cant get past the quick start set up... that is where get that message.

I have plugged it into my computer and it downloads some information but then it wont bring me to the option to restore

There is a problem with this iphone. in small print is says This i found has been reported lost or stolen. If found please visit https:/support.apple.com/found for further instructions
