Hi, I am having a MacBook Pro 13 inch 2018 (Touch Bar). All of a sudden horizontal lines started appearing on my screen. When I close the screen half way then this issue is mitigated. Anyone has any idea what's wrong with the machine.

Sounds like a defective display cable which will require replacing the entire Display Assembly. Have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop and provide you with an estimate for the repair.

Thanks HWTech. I have given my laptop (which is still in extended warranty period). I have seen many people having the same issue. Not sure if it is design issue (otherwise it may occur again in future).
