I can't redeem an apple gift card into my account. Come I get any help there?

Their ask me for a code #. i don't have any code #. I have a PIN and Gift card number. Apple gave me a $25 gift card for a promotion sale. I printed it and save it until now. When i try to redeem it into my apple account their ask for a code. thanks
