What do I need to do to complete the upgrade to Big Sur? I have tried several times and it is coming up with an error. Thanks, Chic

You need a 2014 or newer Mac Mini running El Capitan (10.11) or newer.

Does your mini meet those requirements, and if so what error are you getting?

In response to your answer thanks for getting back. My mini mac is a late 2014 Version the processor is 2.6GHz Dual-Dual Core I5 with memory of 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 is has been updatged to Catalina and started as El Capitain version 10.15.7. I will try to upgrade again. Thanks,
Hi Sailor Chic, have you checked to make sure that you have enough free space on your hard drive?
If enough space is not there, it will just error out every time.
I believed it upgraded but the screen is not that of Big Sur. It is more of a cartoon colors of mountains. Not what I expected.
You can change the background picture in System Prefs > Desktop & Screensaver.
