opening the MacBook air lid in one-hand
i cant open my MacBook air in one hand, if i try the laptop base is also lifting up, i don't know wether it is problem of my unit or problem of MacBook air itself

It sounds like you are trying to open the MacBook Air lid with one hand. A stiff hinge on the computer requiring you to hold the base of the notebook while you lift the lid is expected.
