I’m not sure. There are different cellular technologies. This is a question best asked of Verizon.

now there is a device called the Mifi, which is a battery operated mobile hotspot that you can use to create a wifi hotspot that you connect your ipad to. So even if the antennas don’t interchange the Mifi device will be universal.
