Delete MacOS Big Sur

I have partially downloaded Big sur but just realised don't have enough space when trying to install it. could someone help. I have no idea how to uninstall it. I keep getting a message saying I can't delete it because its still open. the problem is I can find a way to close it as it hasn't fully installed. its just downloaded.

Delete big sur pkg I downloaded big sur but was unable to install because I don't have the space. However, the useless installer package is now taking up all my space. Mac won't let me delete it. I've tried right clicking and there's no delete option and you can't drag to the trash. Any ideas for how to get rid of it since I'll have to stick with Catalina? Why did they make macbooks with so little space several years ago?!

Can't upgrade to Mac Big Sur WhenI I tried to upgrade to Big Sur it says there is not enough space available. Now I can't delete the installer which takes up 12GB. How do I delete it?

Cmd-Tab in the Finder and see if it is running.

If it is currently downloading, try looking in Software Update and see if you can stop the download.
