Does FaceTime take up my IPhone Storage?

So the other day I had FaceTimed my girlfriend and after we both ended the call, I saw that 21 MB had been used up. I have a 256 GB storage in my phone. I don’t know what this means but is this 21 MB taking up my iPhone storage? What is the 21 MB referring to?

iPhone XS Max, iOS 14

Hello LightSkywalker_214,

No problem. As previously mentioned, it's showing the amount of either cellular data or Wi-Fi data used during the duration of the call. Depending on the cellular plan you have, it may be important that you be able to see exactly what amount of data was used, especially if you're on a limited data plan.

If you'd like more information on viewing how your cellular data is used, check out the article below.

Check the cellular data usage on your iPhone and iPad

Hope this helps!
