Trouble connecting to App Store

trying to connect to the app store.  I go to https://www.apple.com/app-store/ and the button that says “open the app”


opens


itms-apps://?action=discover&referrer=app-store&itscg=10000&itsct=app-appstore-nav-200917


and receive a message saying that the url is not recognized.


Can some one please give me the correct url to access the app store from a mac mini?

The App Store is accessible in the menu in the upper left corner.


You access it with an app, not a browser.
