Unable to transfer data

I got iPhone X trying to transfer data to IPhone 12 both on latest software and also both on charging. How come unable to transfer data. Thank you for your help.

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

How are you transferring data?

Through Quick Transfer? Wireless or Wired?
Through iTunes or iCloud Backup?

im using quick start.

I have tried iCloud my iCloud hasn’t been back up since sept (200GB storag iCloud, and my iPhone only 100GB) reset all network settings still couldn’t solve it.

I also tried to back up on iTunes multiple times after 2 hours waiting it just tell me can’t be back up onto iTunes.

so hoping quick start can work for transferring data to new phone.
