Lenovo Q27q-10 Monitor won't connect with macbook air (13 inch early 2015)

Hi all,

I just bought, and can no longer return due to a specific sale, a Lenovo Q27q-10 Monitor. I've used lenovo monitors before without a problem, but this one seems not to be connecting with my Macbook, and doesn't have any drivers or fixes in its installation guide aimed at Macs. Is this a lost cause, or does anyone have any tips? Can't even get my computer to detect this display.
