I’m using an external keyboard with my iPad Pro 12.9. The tab key doesn’t function as it normally should (tabbing to a tab stop). It works correctly with the virtual keyboard, but not on the external one. How do I correct this?

If we understand correctly, when you tap tab on your external keyboard it doesn’t move to the next item like it does when you use the built-in virtual keyboard on your iPad.
Have you had a chance to check and see if Full Keyboard Access is enabled in Accessibility? If not, we suggest starting there:
