2021 VW Atlas USB ports & iPhone 11 pro

I’m unable to use my iPhone 11 charging cord in my 2021 VW Atlas to utilize Apple car play seems like the USB port is to big for my cord any suggestions would gladly appreciated.

USB-a to Lightning not working Is there any reason my iPhone would charge using a USB-c to lightning cable but not a USB-a to lightning cable? I've brought two new Apple USB-a to lightning cables, and neither will charge my iPhone the USB-c does just fine. Unfortunately, the plugin for my car is for USB-a, so I can't get it to charge there.

The iPhone 11 cord will have Lightening to USB C

Your car will have USB A.

You need an Adapter - Female USB C to Male USB A, available on Amazon
