Why is my iPad unable to play mp4 videos?

Are you trying to play the videos from a web browser like Safari, or using the Photos app on your iPad? When you try to play the videos, what exactly happens?

Normally, we would expect mp4 videos to play in the Photos app using the steps in

If these steps don't resolve the problem, can you also let us know which version of iPadOS is currently installed?
