Apple Music Replay 2020 inaccuracy

My Apple Replay for 2020 seems to be inaccurate with the songs in it, and hours spent listening to artists. One artist I listen to everyday the same album, and I only seen one song from that album in my playlist, why is that? Also the hours spent listening to that artist is way lower than I expected. Could my account not recording all the data? It's frustrating.

Hi Michael_09,

Thanks for posting. It's definitely important to make sure Apple Music is tracking your plays, and we'd like to see if we can help. As we understand it, you believe Apple Music Replay on the web may not be showing an accurate reflection of your plays; is that right?

This resource has some great information on Apple Music Replay on the web.

"How Apple Music Replay works

Apple Music Replay uses your Apple Music listening history to calculate your top songs, albums, and artists throughout the year. Apple Music Replay also uses a variety of other factors to determine the music that you've played this year such as:

  • Music played on any device that's signed in to Apple Music with your Apple ID
  • Not including music played on devices that have "Use Listening History" turned off in Settings
  • Counting only music that's available in the Apple Music catalog
  • Songs played in your library must be synced with your Apple Music subscription
  • A minimum amount of plays and time spent listening to a song, artist, or album"

Based on the above, it sounds possible that you might have "Use Listening History" turned off on one or more devices, or that it was off previously. We recommend checking that under Settings > Music. Let us know what you find!

Take care.
