Ancestry DNA testing requires separate accounts of their App to activate two separate adults.
My wife and I have done just fine with one for over 10 years. Any way around separating ou e mail and Apple ID accounts to get our second Ancestry DNA test “activated”?
Create a new ID for one of you and only use it for Ancestry.

You are welcome. Can you sign out of Settings/Your Name and then sign in with the correct Apple ID? If not, what happens when you try?
Have you checked Settings/Screen Time for any restrictions?

In Apple’s App Store profile, in an attempt at changing my Apple ID, I was asked for a new email (which I supplied) to attach to my new Apple ID. A verification code was to be sent to my new email address ... to no avail. ... never arrived ... multiple times. Now what?

While looking around, I found my iCloud address to be incorrect in my Apple ID settings with no easy way to correct. Can you help me with that?
My incorrect iCloud address is in Settings “Name, Phone Numbers, E-mail” under my “Reachable At” Apple ID (listed correctly as my gmail address). Underneath this is my iCloud address with one incorrect letter.

My concern is that with a new account, I will lose access to all apps, contacts, etc. from previous account ie. New York Times subscription. Any way around that eventuality?
You are welcome. If you only use that account for Ancestry, it shouldn't affect anything else. Use the same ID you have been using for everything else.

OK, Eric ... I am making progress. I have successfully created a new gmail address and Apple ID. The AncestryDNA App looks the same under my new Apple ID and still won’t allow for a new activation.
Have you tried tapping the Edit button? You may need to remove the incorrect email from Messages/FaceTime before you can change it.
