Can apple products connect to 2.4 Ghz

Setting up my smart devices which all work on the 2.4 band. So I have changed my router to split the 2.4 and 5 with different SSD's. Both iPad and iPhone will connect to the 5 Ghz but refuses to connect to the 2.4. Can apple products connect to this network, if so how do I force it to join the 2.4gh so I can set up my smart things

Need an iPad device that ONLY uses 2.4ghz network I have a situation that I hope this Community can help with. I have an Orbi TriBand Mesh router, that uses 2.4 and 5 ghz networks. And I have an iPhone. This makes it quite a challenge to set up a 2.4 ghz smart device (lights, bulbs, plugs, etc), since, when using my iPhone (or iPad) to set up the new device, it picks the stronger 5 ghz network, and the new device won’t connect to that network. To most easily solve this issue, I would like to purchase one of the older iPads that was only capable of connecting to 2.4 ghz. Then, I could just use that older iPad to do any new 2.4 ghz setups. Could someone that knows about the older iPad models please advise which of the older iPad models was only 2.4 ghz friendly (and won’t even be capable of connecting to the 5 ghz network)?

Do you really need 2023 MBPro to join WiFi6e ive got 3 the MX 8500 linksys wifi 6e mesh routers model # MX 8500 ( apple does not support these yet either for Apple Home) very disappointed.. I Have a 2021 M1 Max MBPro 32gb ram 2 tb drive. is it true i can not use Wi-Fi 6E? is there a get around, software update or app to correct this?? is apple telling me my $4500 new laptop can't get wifi6e?? this is unbelievable. this should be an easy fix for apple. Yes.

I'm not sure why they won't connect to your 2.4 GHz network; it sounds like a wireless access point issue.
