can't find documents on new MacBook after migration

migrated all info from old iMac to new MacBook Pro, but now cannot find documents

where are they?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities and congratulations on your new MacBook Pro! We understand that you're having some trouble locating your documents on the new Mac. By chance, did you have Desktop and Documents in iCloud Drive enabled on your iMac? If so, the documents should be visible when you enable iCloud Drive on the MacBook Pro as well. Here's how to do that:


Add your Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive


Please let us know if this doesn't resolve the issue and we'll take a look at some other options.
