Forgot my screentime passcode

Having issues resetting my Screentime Passcode (i will use SP for short). I forgot my SP so i went to screentime and clicked "change my SP" and then clicked on "forgot SP" It asked for my apple ID and password which i provided and then it prompted me to create a new SP which I did. Then I tried to use my new SP to go into screentime settings but it rejected my new SP. So i tried again to change my SP by doing the "forgot SP" method but now after I imput my apple ID and password instead of prompting me to create a new SP it just takes me back to the imput SP page and it counts it as a "failed attempt" to enter my SP. what to do now?
