Time Machine error message

Hi, I can't make a TM backup any more because the program says I should rename my disk, but even when I do that, It keeps on giving me that error message. What to do? Thank you for your advice. L

Hello Luk,

It sounds as though you're having issues creating a Time Machine backup. Time Machine is a great feature, and it's very important to work as expected. It's possible that you may have to reformat the external before it leads there are you follow the steps outlined in the following article to create a backup?

Back up your Mac with Time Machine

If not, try those steps as it will help ensure the hard drive is formatted correctly to back up successfully.

Have a great day.
