Charger on my daughters iPad 2 catch fire

These can seriously overheat and catch fire if something went faulty with it.

Was this a genuine Apple power/charging adapter block OR one made and purchased by a third party company?

This sort of thing can happen, either way.

I have had some power/charging adapters get super hot to the point I stopped using them and replaced them with new ones.

Power/charging adapters from Apple and Apple certified third party accessory makers can and do go faulty from time to time for no real reason.

The adapter doesn’t necessarily have to be a very cheap fake to go faulty and fail in some fashion.

Fire is not good, though.

Is everyone and everything all right after that happened?
