Im really getting ****** off. I keep getting "Your payment method was declined" when I try to purchase an e-mail voucher for a friend. I have spent 2.5 hours trying to solve this, I know how much my friend would appreciate it else I would tell apple to get fu$%ed since getting help does not seem possible. I have tried 2 different accounts. I just want to buy a freaking voucher or punch an apple employee. Anyone know what is going on?
I'm also having this issue.. My wife got her IP4 this past weekend and I was able to gift her an app the day she got it. I tried to do it again a day later and I get this message "Payment has been declined. Please try another payment method." There is no problem ordering apps for myself, just when I try to gift an app.
The only thing I've done lately that may have caused the issue was changing my email on my account. It's pretty annoying that this problem has been going on for months with other people and Apple can't find a fix to process a credit card payment??
I am also having this problem. Changed method of payment. Works fine to purchase an app but problem persists if i want to gift one. Has anyone had any success in solving this issue?
Same problem here....which is why I came to the forums looking for an answer. It's really irritating! You would think Itunes would fix this issue because they are loosing money! My niece just got an Ipod Touch and I was planning to send her a bunch of apps and songs for it. Oh well Itunes....your loss!!
I have just encountered the same problem suddenly. It isn't my credit card, I just used it online not long ago. App store keeps telling me to verify my information - and keep saying that payment method was declined!!! I have just emailed them. I hope they will solve the problem.
I've also been having this issue for a few days. I got a reply from apple this morning saying that the person taking care of my issue only works from Friday to Tuesday and that they have asked for assistance from someone else because they can't fix the problem themselves. I like getting a reply but getting one that doesn't respond to the problem is completely useless.
If you go to the apple.com/store and log in to your account (top right) you can delete your card information. That will allow you to download free stuff and updates in the app store. Oddly you can verify your card on the apple store, but when you go to the app store it will decline your card again.
