Q: Your payment method was declined

Im really getting ****** off. I keep getting "Your payment method was declined" when I try to purchase an e-mail voucher for a friend. I have spent 2.5 hours trying to solve this, I know how much my friend would appreciate it else I would tell apple to get fu$%ed since getting help does not seem possible. I have tried 2 different accounts. I just want to buy a freaking voucher or punch an apple employee. Anyone know what is going on?

    Ive got exactly the same problem, i have a UK Apple ID and until two days ago all was good. Then suddenly I can't even upgrade or download free apps without it saying your billing details have been declined. How does one remove the current details and save it like that?

    Same here. Tried changing to None and  MasterCard  or  Amex cc's and nothing worked out.

    Same here ! Your payment method was declined ! Please enter another payment method ! in past i bought a lots of apps from AppStore ! i have money on card and now i cant used my old card. This it wont works since i bought my new iphone !

    i just tried ALL the best practices here above - nothing worked, my master card was declined - I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND ??? there is enough money on it to pay for 6 eur application, I am allowed to do international payments with the card, I changed smthg in my account then saved , then connected again, then tried the NONE  (payment method) NOTHING WORKS - HELLO APPLE PEOPLE do you really want to sell your apps ? this is really really weird way of doing business. Anyways if someone from the help desk is reading this - you may try to send me a sollution , and I will see if I still want to buy whaterver ...

    Hey I have the same problem too! I have more than enough money in my MasterCard, I don't know how to fix this. Please help.

    As someone who had to deal with this annoying problem (twice) in the past, all I have to say is that this problem usually resolves itself within 3 to 5 working days. Please be patient, everyone. The Apple support team cannot help on this matter, I had tried many suggestions (from changing the data in the bank to the point of me faxing the bank to change my data on their record exactly like I had written it), and nothing worked.

     

    If I had to guess, the Apple customer care doesn't have the access to the iTunes "inner workings", and the team at iTunes / Appstore won't say anything if their payment validation system malfunctions.

    I was able to solve the problem changing the payment method to a temporary electronic/virtual credit card (Mastercard) connected to the same bank acount as my plastic cards (Mastercard or Amex, which do not work).

    I got a problem with a VISA Electron: After i bought Mountain Lion (3 weeks ago) , it worked fine, it installed and everything. Right after that, the account worked perfectly. The next day, up until now i keep getting the Payment Method Denied although everything is fine (haven't changed anything after the purchase). What should i do?   [same card on Blizzard, same info, works perfectly]

    I Am using apple store in uk and today I now can't download free apps. I have a iPhone 4 and am not happy i can't get anymore games. Only had mine a few days too. . if there is anyway round this it would be great coz I can get back to gaming out.   It won't let me pay for any games it's says put in a different payment method.

    Now my visa cc declined again,

    from midlle of nov my cc able to purchase on app store but today declined

    Aug work!!

    Oct declined!!

    Middle of Nov work!!

    And today declined again, and no "free" option!!

    i also having the same problem, all my info is correct for my mastercard but yet it still put "your payment is declined, please put another payment menthod" what is wrong with apple! i put extra money inside and yet is put this "there is a biling problem with a previous purchase, Please go to purchase history to correct the problem" anyone know how to fix this problem too!! my mastercard info is correct but still can save. somemore i try to find NONE but dont have. only got visa, mastercard or amex!!

    I live in India and I'm experiencing the same problem. I have tried changing the password and re entered my payment details. But no change has occurred. It is still showing that message and I'm not able to buy songs, apps or movies. It's getting me worried now. Please help anyone.

    Also I don't have a pc or a mac. I'm doing all the work from an iPad 3rd gen and an iPhone 4S. So I've been trying from there.
