Terrible keyboard sensitivity

I have several MacBook Pro devices in my office. The ones we bought in 2018 are terrible to type on because the keyboard is too sensitive. Is there a fix for this? We have adjusted the settings on the computer, but it hasn't really helped.

Hello terriblekeyboard,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble with the keyboards on multiple MacBook Pros. We are happy to share information that may help.

If this is happening with multiple devices and adjusting the settings did not help, check out the information here to see if these devices qualify: Keyboard Service Program for MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro.

Take care.

Although it is better on our Pro models, the Air models are not better, and they are not on your list for keyboard repair or replacement.

I own a manufacturing company, and we stand behind our products. If we produce something that performs at less than our promise, we replace or repair. I realize this is not a common approach, but it is important to us. Having said that, we are not anxious to upgrade these computers to new Apple products as long as we can't be sure Apple will stand behind them.
