My iPhone 8 will connect to the internet. The blue check mark is there and on the bottom it says Weak Security. It will connect for awhile and then loses the signal.

My iPhone 8 will connect to the internet. The blue check mark is there and on the bottom it says Weak Security. It will connect for awhile and then loses the signal. I have reset my network connection and even reset my iPhone to factory reset. Any idea can help

The 'Weak Security' message is unrelated. It means your base station is using an older/outdated encryption standard and should be updated (if possible).


Weak or not, that shouldn't directly cause the other connection problems you describe. That could be caused by a weak signal strength (regardless of the encryption in use), or interference from other devices. How far from the base station are you? and do you notice any particular times when it drops (e.g. when someone turns on the TV, microwave, or some such)?
