Home videos on apple TV won't play on samsung tv

I have Home Videos on my imac and they show up and play on my iphone as well. When I go to play on the samsung TV I get an error that "this format won't play on this TV?" I made the video on imovie and it was saved to the TV folder as an M-PEG4 video file. How can I change that? What should it be?

4k Home Videos on Apple TV 4k I've taken videos on my iPhone XS in 4k - both 30 and 60 FPS. I use Final Curt Pro to edit and join the clips into one home video. I've tried exporting as "Master File," "Apple Devices," "4K" (using Compressor). The resultant QuickTime file (.mov or .m4v) shows the correct dimensions: 3840 x 2160. I share the iTunes library from the iMac (2016) to the Apple TV 4k. Other 1080p files play flawlessly, but when I choose a 4k video, a message appears on the Apple TV: "This content cannot be played because its format is not compatible with Apple TV." No videos include both 30 and 60 FPS clips, nor do they include any clips shot in 1080p. All HDMI cables are new High Speed Belkin cables sold at the Apple Store. The TV is a new Samsung 4k TV. The Audio and Video Preferences from Apple TV show 4k UHD. The HDMI cable test passes. I've reset and restored the Apple TV 4k. The issue persists. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Cannot import movie to Apple TV I have not been able to import movies into my Home Videos library My TV library is on an external HD and the movies I want to import are on another external HD. What I do to import the files: I click on FILE>IMPORT, select the file and click on OPEN. But to no avail. Nothing is imported. Has this happened to anyone? If so, is there a solution to this problem. TIA

Long delay to play a .mp4 movie from the Mac I have a .mp4 movie created from a .mkv file on my Mac. When I try to view it on the Apple TV 4K (from the computer app on the Apple TV) there is a very long delay before it starts playing. Any solution for this?

Are your Home Sharing home videos in 1080p resolution (or less)? 4K movies are not supported for Home Sharing to Apple TV 4K (unfortunately). Maybe anything else extraordinary? HDR, multiple audio tracks?
