I want to trade in my current phone to update to the IPhone 12 pro max, and I can’t continúe without the last 4 digits of the account holder’s SSN. I enter my last 4 digits and it doesnt go through.

You will need to contact Apple; we are all other end users here and do not have access to orders, accounts, billing, etc.
I am assuming you are dealing with a purchase you made with financing? Then you may also try to contact the financial institution to see if there is a mix up of some sort.

Are you the account holder? If not then you would need the account holders info...or depending on the carrier the device is on the can make you an authorized person on the account that is allowed to do things like upgrades. If you are then you would need to contact the carrier to try and straighten out the issue. And/or contact Apple directly for next steps.
If you are trying to make this trade with your cellular carrier, that would be the last 4 digits of the cellular account holders SSN, not yours, unless of course you are the main account holder of the cellular account.
