I just got a new iPhone 12 mini with a Verizon carrier and am stuck at the setup process. I get to the step that says Verify Your Identity and asks for the last 4 digits of your SSN or your Verizon PIN. After typing it in the keyboard won't collapse and I can't select the button to enter in the number. This is blocking the whole activation process for me

The posts don’t solve the issue. It gets stuck on activation because after you enter the region it asks for the one time Verizon activation code and when you get it, you enter it but can’t press the continue button because the keyboard won’t collapse. It blocks the whole setup process…how do you collapse the keyboard so you can press continue?
I did exactly what you recommended and it worked perfectly. The only item I would add is that while entering the code, the "continue" button disappears, but DO NOT LIFT YOUR FINGER. After entering the code and then lift your finger that was holding down the "continue" button, even though the button disappeared, the process will continue. Thank-you for saving a lengthy chat with "support"!
If you hold the continue button and then enter in the information you can get around the keyboard
