cannot go fullscreen with any application on bigger

I recently upgraded to Mac OS Big Sur on my MacBook Pro 16" (2015) model. everything seems to work fine , but when I use the button to go fullscreen on any window , it gives a beep sound and does not change the window to fullscreen. is this only for me or anyone else has the same issue? will the bug be fixed soon ?

Hey there badt18,

We'd like to help get you back to enjoying full screen apps on your Mac, so let's start with making sure these are the steps you're taking: Use apps in full screen on Mac

While you have macOS Big Sur installed, the latest version is macOS 11.1. You can verify which version number is installed by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. Here's how to first Back up your Mac with Time Machine, and afterwards, here's How to update the software on your Mac. This link shows how to Update apps or use automatic downloads.

Just in case you've already done the steps above, we'd like to recommend a restart of your Mac. Check out the section 'Restart' here: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac
