Watch Face Dates “Off”

Hey! I just got my Apple Watch SE and I’m setting up my watch faces. When I select the face that shows the date and set it up, the date option is always off and won’t show. It won’t allow me to turn it on. Maybe I’m missing a setting somewhere. The watch is up to date. Thanks!

For the date and time to be displayed on the watch you need to have the apple calendar on your phone.

If you have the stock apple calendar app on your phone and the date or time doesn't show on the watch then delete the calendar app from your phone and reinstall it from the phone app store.
