Comica external mic on an iPhone X

I am using a Comica BoomX-D lav mic on an iPhone X running iOS 14.2 but when I view the video the audio is coming from the internal mic. Is there a setting I must use to switch to the Lightning connector?

I have found the solution. The Comica comes with 5 or 6 cables all wrapped individually. The first one I can to that had a lightning connector I used. I just learned that there is a second one that looks identical except that it has a small tag that says "use with iPhone". Problem solved. Thanks for the help.
