imessage not accepting my password

trying to sign in to use imessage and it is not recognizing or accepting my password. I am using mac mini mojave. Just started having issues on Monday.

Make sure you are logging in with the same email address you use for Apple Support Communities, if you used that one for iMessage before. Apple Support Communities uses AppleID.


If that AppleID is not the one you used before and you need to verify its password is correct, go to http://iforgot.apple.com if you can't login with Apple Support Communities and it.
