Play as Blutooth phone call no more!

After th elatset iOS update I am not able to use my car speaker, using Googlle Maps. It used to work 100%. The google map app was affected right after an update in the first place. It would not read my present location and asked me to enter it all th etime I was asking for direction. LOL!

Then I tried Waze, to play through my speakers using phone connection. It worked only once and switched back to phone speakers.

Is there any solution?

Thanks MoonJ for trying to help. I was at Google community and no one seem to have an answer. There were thousands of people with the similar issue and hudgreds of posts.

I found the solution and reported to Apple senior advisors, who tried to help. It took me at least 5-6 hours, to find that all it was just one setting. Here is what I found:

In the settings, navigation turn "Access your Assistant with OK Google" OFF!  That made my car speakers connected back to my iPhone, Google map through "Play as Bluetooth phone call." Possibly this is the main reason why I was never be able to use Waze through the car speakers, has the same on and off google assistant setting.

P.S. why this started happening after installing iOS14.3, which was mentioned in the original post. Because I reinstalled the Google Map and the default setting is have the Google assistant on, which shots up SIRI commands and not able to connect to car speakers. It says right thwere in the settings.

Hello Girshon,

We would like to see how we can help you with your iPhone Bluetooth issue. Do you have any available updates in the App Store for your apps? Which iOS version are you currently running, and on which model of iPhone? Go to Settings > General > About for the version. Does this happen with any other Bluetooth devices, or only your car? Check out the steps in this link, and get back to us with your results: How to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your car

Cheers!
