This may be too soon to ask but does anyone know if the new magic trackpad will link to iPad?

Apples already lost millions in potential trackpad segment of those users with ipads. You lost the keyboard market to companies like Zagg,Clam Case, and many others because you'd rather sell a magnetic cover in different colors ??

You seem to have lost track of your audience. Nobody here has lost a keyboard market to anybody, neither do we sell magnetic covers. We are not Apple - remember?

Think I am going to rap this up by emphasising some home truths that ''Apple just dosen't listen to what it's it's customers'' and in failing to do so will eventally loose them.

Wrap. Doesn't. It's. Lose.

''Apple just dosen't listen to what it's it's customers''. Surprised? Most that rant here achieve incoherence quite quickly.

tonefox.

Do you get paid by the Heckle ? Or Just try and wind people up until they loose it ??

''Apple just dosen't listen to what it's it's customers''. Surprised?'' ''Most that rant here achieve incoherence quite quickly''. But Isn't that because Apple simply never listen to their customers needs though and employ people to come on these forums with one agenda to create incoherence ??

We RANT a simple term used for a child thats having a mood swings ! - Are you trolling for Apple here tonefox because I detect underlying sense of redicule in the way you are addressing me in this forum the word rant is highly condescending !

Apple has definately lost track of it's Audience thats why they target sudents. Yah Apple dosen't have control over they keyboard market because it hasn't produced an exclusive keyboard for it's tablets yet it just looks like its just trackpads that are being witheld - it's you that are losing it the plot here

Apple produce magenticly hindged covers don't they - the hinge attachs to the magnetic strip in the ipad it's on their website if you look in different colors.

So what I can't spell but no need to ridicule me by going through the mistakes and the spell checker in pages dosen't seem to work but my argument does I think it's you losing the pot here - sad old excuse for an argument again ay !

Dec 28, 2013 7:30 AM in response to Alfminus_01

I agree, Alf. People who use spell check to make some kind of an argument usually don't actually have anything to say. And when they themselves don't know how to spell, they say even less!

I think a mouse would be a good add-on for an iPad. I like to maximize what I see onscreen. To use my iPad with a cursor instead of always having my hand in the way, might be nice. For those of you who have never used a mouse, it's quite easy to master. You don't have to look at your hand at all; instead you can look at the full screen and your hand is actually off to the side, not blocking the screen. Pretty cool!

Well it's true I do admit I have Dyslexia & Dyspraxia so for me using a spell cheaker has an obvious function but so does using a trackpad and it is very important but sorry if that offended you. You don't need a mouse if you have use of a trackpad.

I don't agree that people that can't spell even have less to say (actually) my comments are more substantial then yours read above...What you & your colleague tonefox needs to understand is that what we lack in spelling we make up for in other ways and that's a fact.....But someone who is as ignorant as you makes comments like the ones above wouldn't understand that would they.

Yeah you'd definately need a mouse but arn't you in the wrong thread for that ??

Thought we are discussing Trackpads here ?

Because a trackpad would require you to learn swipe gestures - for the rest of us we'd like a trackpads as well although I have according to you below average intelligence.

I find the above comments extreamly rude and condescending far to personal in fact absolutely unessersery ie: nothing to do with this tread and of no value to anyone and I think it is you that has nothing to say.

Clear product identity shouldn't stop users using their equipment as they see fit and Apple should be predjuicing their rights to do so as they purchased the equipment ! Where talking Apples here not Oranges Matey !!

Dec 29, 2013 6:55 AM in response to Alfminus_01

Alf - you misunderstand. I was absolutely not criticising your spelling. I was actually criticising tonefox for doing that (and making a spelling error of his/her own in the process). I totally agree that criticising your English was rude and uncalled for, and in fact, is a form of bullying, as far as I'm concerned. Sorry that you got the impression that I was piling on...

And while I know this is specifically about trackpads working with iPads, I see the issue as being essentially identical to the problem of an iPad not working with a mouse. As you yourself said, we're "talking Apples here Apple Computer & Peripherals designed to work with the Mac OS".

This has been brought up over and over again. Also the issue of buying the right tool for the job. I understand it and accept it. Where I think this logic is flawed is the business aplications of this. Every exectuive / sales person, etc. that travels wants to bring their tablet. When you are on the plane and your elbows are pressed aganst your chest it is a pain to pull out your laptop. The only thing Apple has to gain is more sales. The person that wants to travel with their tabet already has a MacBook pro for out of the office and an iMac on their desk. If they could use a mouse or trackpad in their hotel room to update their CRM and remote their desktop they would over the moon.
