mskqlmskdgld,

We appreciate you for providing us those details. Let's reset the NVRAM on your Mac. This helps reset certain settings that may help. Here's an article with additional details and the proper steps to take: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

If that doesn't help, the next step is to restart your Mac in safe mode. This helps to perform a basic check of your startup disk, deletes some system caches and more. Here's an article with more information and the proper steps to take: How to use safe mode on your Mac Once you're in safe mode, please restart your Mac as normal and see if you continue to experience the same behavior.

Kind regards.

Hi mskqlmskdgld,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to use FaceTime, as it becomes unresponsive. We'll be happy to help.

Are you experiencing this behavior with a specific contact or does it occur with any contact? If it occurs with all of your contacts, we recommend to follow the steps outlined here: If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly on Mac

Following these steps may help. Please keep us posted with the results.

Best regards.

mskqlmskdgld,

Thanks for getting back to us and for attempting those steps. When you say that your FaceTime is "blocked", can you provide us additional details with regard to that? Are you seeing an error message? If so, what does the error message say?

To further isolate this issue, let's follow the steps outlined in this article: If FaceTime isn't working on your Mac Specifically the section that says, "If you can't sign in to FaceTime."

Cheers.

Hi Leanne_68

the problem still persists ... I followed exactly what you told me unfortunately my facetime remains blocked after each call. The problem comes with any contact, even when I call someone or that I receive it is exact. I press D after restarting, Appel does not detect anything as a problem. I really don't no what's happening. It comes after when I update my Mac Pro.

Thanks again for your help,

Regards

Casier

Hello ado_apple,

Thanks for answering,

when I call or receive facetime calls, the screen freezes and the little circle moves continuously. It's impossible to move and it can stay for hours, so each time when its blocked I have to force to quit.

Ps: I did logout and login, still same problem.

i am using,

macOS Big Sur

Version 11.1

Processor: 3 GHz Intel Xeon W 10 cœurs

Memory: 64 Go 2666 MHz DDR4
