Forgotten passcode on iphone 12

Hi, I recently reset my iphone 12 passcode and do not remember what I set it to. I was using face recognition so I didn't need to enter the passcode and now my phone all of a sudden stopped face recognition and is asking for my passcode in order to set up face recognition again. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks
