Charging an iPhone 12
Can an apple 96w power adapter still safely charge an iPhone 12 and if so does it reduce the charge time ?

It can charge it safely. I haven't seen any numbers but don't think it would be significantly faster (if any faster) than other fast chargers of 20W or higher. See: Fast charge your iPhone - Apple Support
