What is the small lock symbol on the program icon in Big Sur?

I upgraded to Big Sur and now one of my program icons (Code 42 backup) has a small lock symbol in the bottom left corner and the program doesn't seem to be working. I've given it Full Disk Access already.

What is that symbol?

Thanks. I checked with the software company and they said that the lock is because you can't Delete the program. You have to Uninstall it using their Uninstall Feature. The program wasn't working but that required me to uninstall and reinstall it and now it works fine.

Hi there MisterBNJ,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have a lock symbol on one of your apps and you are not able to use it. If you right click the app and choose “Get Info” is the “Locked” option checked? If so, unlock it.
