Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with Face ID that isn't working on your iPhone X.

This page has steps you can walk through: If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro. Step 1 is updating and iOS 14.3 is now available.

If you do make it through step 8, the next step is

"If you can’t enroll your face, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider or contact Apple Support."
