accountsd takes a lot of memory usage

I've only recently noticed that I have accountsd and secd uses a lot of memory.

Sometimes accountsd goes up to 2 gb or more. However, this doesn't make sense because when I force quit the process, the amount of memory used doesn't change and the process will come back again in a few hours. I am worried if this and the secd processes (the memory usage changed when I force quit the secd process but since I've never seen this process till recently, I'm worried) are viruses.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

That has been a problem for several months, starting with Catalina. Updating the OS may help. You can also try this (which has reportedly worked for many):

Sign out of your Apple ID account:

System Preferences > Apple ID > Overview > Sign Out
Restarting your Mac
Sign back in to your account

Sometimes, logging out of iCloud and then logging back in can solve the problem. I know it doesn’t work for everybody with this problem but it’s worth trying

Agree with both of the previous Posting. Had that issue somewhere on Catalina 10.15.5 or.6 and was resolved by either of the two methods mentioned.
