My new Iwatch is locked with the voice on. I received the time but cannot get into settings.

My new Apple Watch has locked up. I receive the time but cannot get into settings. When in settings I turned on the voice to learn about it. Pressing the side button, I can go back and forth from the apps to the time. However, I cannot move the apps to the settings app. The voice comes and reads whatever I touch. I have turned the watch off several times but the watch remains locked. I cannot push the reset button on the watch, but haven't tried it from my iphone. Thank you.

Hey bertkey,

We see that you want to disable VoiceOver on your Apple Watch, and we'd like to offer some assistance!

Try following one of these steps to see if it works:

  • Quickly press the Digital Crown (the round button) on your Apple Watch three times in a row.
  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver > turn off VoiceOver.
  • Or use Siri: use "Hey Siri" or press and hold the Digital Crown (round button) then say: “Turn off VoiceOver.”

Let us know how it goes!

Best regards.

Eric,

Thank you so much for your assistance. I used "Hey Siri" and "Turn off VoiceOver". It worked! Before I tried "Hey Siri" to get into settings and reset, but received "I cannot."

In the Watch app, after pressing my watch tab, I cannot get into General, accessibility, etc. It only shows "start pairing". Do I need to reset my watch and then pair it to my phone again? I am unsure that my Iphone and Watch are paired, since my Watch face on the watch does not mat the face in my Watch app.

I do like my new Apple Watch. I'm 75 and want to learn. Thank you.

Thank you for your continued assistance. I cannot unpair my Apple Watch so that I can pair it again to my IPhone. The watch app on my iPhone, My Watch, will only show the "Start Pairing" page. I have deleted this app and uploaded it again, only to get the start pairing page again. I cannot get into the first page with the Icon so I can unpair my watch.

I tried to reset my Watch. Going into Settings, General, Reset, I'm told to unpair the watch to remove the activation lock before erasing it. When I press the Reset Home Screen button, nothing happens because of the activation lock.

Thank you.
