zip decompression failed

zip decompression failed

Downloading a Zip file and getting a 'decompression failed' message. I'm using MacBook Air 13' 2017 running macOS Big Sur11.1

Does anyone have any suggestions what to try?

Try downloading it again. If same results the file maybe corrupted or in format the builtin decompression tool does not understand. There are some free zip / unzip Apps available but be cautious what is installed.

Thanks, tried to download again with the same result.Got hold of the sender and they sent another copy which unzipped as expected.

All sorted now and it looks as if it was a problem with the sender.
